How add a CSS class to a table ?

I would like to add a specific class to a table. I saw somewhere :

{:.myClass}
header1 | header2
---- | ----
cell1 | cell2

but it didn't work on my fresh install of slate.

• How can I add a CASS class to a table (to obtain : <table class='myClass'> in the html result) ?
• what is the purpose of the writing above with the braces?

I found the solution by using "kramdown" as markdown engine.
