Version 1.11.1 of this API was released almost 1 year ago on Nov 08, 2021 and there were 1 or 2 releases per month prior to that. I'm posting this to inquire about the lifecycle of this API. Is it going to be deprecated or is it still being actively developed?
If actively developed: There are issues such as #804 which outline the outdated dependencies. When can we expect a new revision to this?
If being deprecated: Can you please provide what should replace this API?
Thank you

Hi @mthorson, no, we aren't deprecating this library. And we do intend to continue development. Indeed, I'm planning to do some work on it in the near future.
That includes looking into upgrading the dependencies. That's a non-trivial task because the newer versions of the dependencies do not support Python 2, but rest assured that we are looking to address it.
