We've experienced issues where we attempt to delete records with credstash

credstash -t eng delete <KEY>

and the call silently fails. The commands completes without logging anything and the key is still there. On repeated attempts, it continues to fail, and can only be resolved by going to dynamoDB and deleting the record by hand.
