@danmoseley this is needed for Ubuntu 22.04 support. Any concerns with merging it to servicing branch, right now?

I will bring couple more PRs for 5.0 and 3.1 backports.

If it's necessary to ship then it doesn't need tactics approval. I think the branch isn't open yet though.

@leecow when does the release/6.0 branch open? I will also need to port the same fix to release/5.0 and dotnet/core-setup (release/3.1)

Usually it's when the previous patch ships, so approx next Tues. @carlossanlop knows.

According to @mmitche in Tactics yesterday, branches are open now.

The updated package is built and we're waiting on signing. If that process completes by early afternoon, I'll go ahead and publish the updated deps installer for 22.04 today. Otherwise, I'll wait for Monday to avoid possible issues going into the weekend.
