Motivation
Currently, the instructions with
nix flake update
are somewhat vague when it comes to updating multiple inputs. The description says:Unlike other nix flake commands, nix flake update takes a list of names of inputs to update as its positional arguments and operates on the flake in the current directory.
). However, the lack of an example makes it unclear exactly how you provide that list of multiple inputs. This PR adds an example to demonstrate how updating multiple inputs is done. The inputs
nixpkgs
andnixpkgs-unstable
are used, instead of referring to an external project. This is an automatic backport of pull request #11526 done by Mergify.
