Copilot VSCode extension high memory consumption (devcontainer, rspec)

I am using latest versions of VSCode(1.96.2) and extension(1.256.0).
Running ruby on rails project in devcontainer.
I can't tell exactly when (1-2 month) but copilot extension just started to cause out of memory for docker (16GB limit for docker) when I run rspec (ruby test framework).

'docker stats' shows that container takes

• with out extension: 900 MB idle, 1300 MB when I run rspec, test run takes 45 seconds
• with extension enabled: 1500 MB idle, 16/16 GB and vscode extensions raising errors when running rspec, run takes 80 seconds

What can I do to fix this? I have to disable extension for now
