Checklist

  • I have updated to the latest available Home Assistant version.
  • I have cleared the cache of my browser.
  • I have tried a different browser to see if it is related to my browser.
  • I have tried reproducing the issue in safe mode to rule out problems with unsupported custom resources.

Describe the issue you are experiencing

When moving a selection of devices or entities to a new label or room, the selection is not automatically cleared after this assignment.
When assigning multiple elements, this can lead to unwanted behavior as the previous selection will be overwritten by the next room/label.

Describe the behavior you expected

It would be better if after an assignment to a label or room, the selected elements were automatically unselected so that the next assignment is performed without issues.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Go to Parameters > Devices (or Entities)
  2. Press the "Select button"
  3. Select a few elements and assign them to a first room
  4. Select new elements to be assigned to another room> the previous elements are still selected and will be affected to the new room if not manually unselected

I could see this suggestion also being troublesome in a different way though, for example if you selected 50 entities that you wanted to assign a label and and area. You wouldn't want to have to select the whole list twice...

Not saying this is right or wrong, just a random thought I had about it.
