confcheck.php appears to overwrite some settings (perhaps all?) with defaults. This includes the company_name setting, and (in my case more importantly) the lockdir setting.

Under Debian it is customary to put lockfiles in /var/run/programname, so that's where I configured Cartulary to place them.

Yes, this has been a problem for a while. It's going to require a lot of care to re-write that. The current script is very crude, but it needs to be done. I'll do it for the 0.5 release.

Too many changes already to risk putting this into 0.5. I'll shoot for 0.5.1.
