How to reproduce

Slice the "Handles" plate from my model

possibly related to #3856 however I've been working with the file for a while and couldn't tell you what operations happened between this working and this starting to happen.

Should be fixed with #6817. Same with #3856.
Give the nightly build a try

Cool thanks. That brings up the question my first layer is empty - I had used the "rotate to plane" feature to lay the parts down flat, something should have touched the plate right?

Anyway I'll give the nightly a try
