Thank you again Sergey for your plugin; I'd like to change the thanks.php template, effectively replacing it with a PHP template of my own. How would you advise I do this? Thank you again for the awesome plugin!

Template customization options are planned for the future releases. As of now there is no easy way to customize templates. Even if you modify the code the changes will be overridden in the next update.
