I setup similar conditions on my atomic site but I couldn't reproduce. |
@heavyweight I wasn't able to reproduce, but it was consistent for both of the two customers. @obenland was able to reproduce it intermittently, and gave some images of console errors in the Slack thread: p1723150860104919-slack-C02FMH4G8 |
Had a user with a similar issue today in 8590757-zen. They say when they try and edit with Safari they get a blank page but are able to edit fine with Firefox. Thought this was a browser issue since I was not able to replicate but sharing here just in case. They see this error message: {"code":"rest_invalid_param","message":"Invalid parameter(s): path","data":{"status":400,"params":{"path":"Invalid parameter."},"details":[]}} |
I suspect this user was affected: 8555756-zd-a8c I'm not able to replicate the issue when SU'd, but that seems to be common with this particular bug, if I understand correctly? |

Reported in 8592156-zd-a8c Can't reproduce. Deactivated Gutenberg to see if that helps the user who reported it. Waiting to hear back. Update: Deactivating Gutenberg resolved it. |

Another report: 8598170-zd-a8c The user experienced a blank editor screen while accessing pages/posts. I wasn't able to reproduce it while SU'd. |

@heavyweight Can you help me understand what's happening to this bug report? There are more reports coming in, how is this being addressed? |

I have no luck reproducing this issue and not sure how to move forward. |
I only encountered it once and shared what I saw in the Slack channel. I recognize it's hard to debug and fix, just wanted to make sure it didn't get dropped in hand-off because of that. |

I was unable to reproduce this on a test site with a similar configuration. |

There appears to be another issue, maybe separate, where all blocks experience an error when they're clicked. See this video from 8620558-zd-a8c 328dfe70-94b8-42e1-8330-159f29688ee4.mp4 |
@obenland Yesterday I had a customer report a similar issue (8628923-zd-a8c), where certain blocks would show an error after being clicked, but they indicated that only 2 out of the 3 site admins experienced it. They also noted that the issue is no longer occurring today, which is the first day after their site was updated to Gutenberg 19.0.0. |

This seems to be related—I encountered two instances where the content inside grouped blocks was not editable while Gutenberg was active. 9009936-zen |
Quick summary
After Gutenberg 18.9.0 was pushed to WoA, some customers are reporting that the editor hangs/fails to load when trying to create or modify a page or post.
I haven't been able to reproduce the issue on my end, but the 2 customers who reported it noted that the editor was hanging consistently, and then the issue was resolved when Gutenberg was deactivated. I noted a short delay for the editor to load, during which I noted this error in the console:
This issue was escalated and intermittently reproduced by @obenland. Discussion here: p1723150860104919-slack-C02FMH4G8
